A Snowy Day in Livingston, NJ

On March 16th, the team braved a surprise snowstorm as it returned from a day of tough competition in northern New Jersey.  Playing some of the best teams in the New York City metropolitan area, Phoenixville held its own.  The team finished the day with a 4-4 record, recording several decisive wins and losing three close matches.  Twice during the day, the young Phoenixville team appeared to be about to achieve a signature win.  Though it led in both matches, the team eventually lost to nationally-ranked powerhouses Ridgewood (290-310) and Milburn (260-285).

The team will travel to Manheim Township (PA) High School for the Eastern Pennsylvania Championships on April 6th.  It also hopes to get another crack at some of the stronger New Jersey and New York teams it has been gaining on all season when it competes in the High School National Championship Tournament (HSNCT) in Atlanta during Memorial Day weekend.
